"A un certo punto, è come se mi fossi svegliato". Cosi racconta Simone Serretta il momento in cui ha deciso di lasciare il lavoro e vendere tutto, perfino la casa, per seguire la passione che aveva avuto fin da giovane: stampare dischi in vinile. Serretta è tornato nel luogo in cui era cresciuto, le montagne della Valsesia, per inseguire i propri sogni e aprire un'azienda in cui stampare vinili. Per quanto potesse sembrare folle, ce l'ha fatta: dopo soli quattro anni, la sua Imprimatur Varade Vinili conta nove dipendenti, due capannoni e un flusso continuo di lavoro. In Italia sono solo una manciata quelli che, come lui, si sono dedicati alla stampa dei vinili: un processo complesso le cui materie prime sono molto ricercate e a volte difficili da trovare. La storia di Serretta non è solo d'ispirazione per continuare a seguire i propri sogni, ma è anche un esempio virtuoso di come la comunità di un piccolo paese si sia data da fare per aiutare i progetti di un giovane imprenditore, il quale ha abbandonato le grandi città per ripartire dalla provincia.
"There was one moment, I felt like waking up for the first time". This is how Simone Serretta recounts the moment he decided to quit his job and sell everything, his house included, to follow the passion he had had since his youth: printing vinyl records. Serretta returned to the place where he had grown up, the mountains of Valsesia, to pursue his dreams and start a company where he could print vinyl. As crazy as it sounded, he did it: after only four years, his Imprimatur Varade Vinili has nine employees, two sheds and a continuous flow of work. In Italy, there is only a handful of people like him, who have dedicated their lives to vinyl printing. The process is complex, raw materials are highly sought after and sometimes hard to find. Serretta's story is not only an inspiration to continue following one's dreams, but it is also a virtuous example of how the community of a small town has gone out of its way to help the projects of a young entrepreneur, who has left the big cities to start again in the province.
